Bhagavad Gītā Chapter 10, Verse 22: Krishna to Arjuna — Vibhūti-Yoga
Among the Vedas I am the Sāma-veda, among gods Indra, among the senses the mind, and in all beings the spark of awareness.

- Śaṅkaraadvaita
Among the Vedas I am the Sāma-veda — that which is most melodically refined, whose sound-form most fully approaches the non-dual resonance of Brahman. Among the gods I am Vāsava (Indra), lord of the celestials. Among the eleven sense-organs I am manas (mind), the faculty of saṃkalpa (purposive resolve) and vikalpa (oscillating doubt), for it is manas alone that governs inward and outward perception alike. Among living beings I am cetanā (consciousness-function) — the perennial manifestation of buddhi-vṛtti (the arising of cognitive awareness) within the body-sense complex.
- Rāmānujaviśiṣṭādvaita
Among the four Vedas — Ṛg, Yajus, Sāman, Atharvan — I am the Sāma-veda, most exalted. Among the gods I am Indra (Vāsava). The sixth-case relationship here is not nirdhāraṇa (selection from a class) but qualification: the beings named are my body, and I am their inner controller. Among the eleven indriyas I am manas, the pre-eminent indriya. Among sentient beings (chetanāvatām) I am cetanā itself — the consciousness that distinguishes the ensouled from the inert.
- Madhvadvaita
Among the Vedas I am the Sāma-veda, most beloved of Hari. Among the devas I am Vāsava, who acts as Hari's instrument. Among the indriyas I am manas, which directs all sense-engagement toward or away from the Lord. Among prāṇas and bhūtas I am cetanā — the dependent consciousness that Hari sustains in every jīva, ever distinct from Him yet ever contingent upon Him.
- Vallabhaśuddhādvaita
Among the Vedas I am the Sāma-veda — whose gāna-mādhurya (the sweetness of melodic chanting) is itself a vibhūti (divine manifestation) to be worshiped in sacrifice. Among the devas I am Indra, the very lord of the yajña-field. Among the eleven indriyas I am manas — and note well: the genitive here is not nirdhāraṇa but intimacy; manas too is an indriya by the prāya-pada convention, and Kṛṣṇa's presence in it is without obstacle. Among bhūtas I am cetanā — the life-awareness that pulses as His own ānanda manifesting in every form.
- Śrīdharabhakti
Among the Vedas I am the Sāma-veda. Among the gods I am Vāsava (Indra). Among the indriyas I am manas. Among all beings I am cetanā — the jñāna-śakti (power of knowing) that belongs to them, by which they are sentient at all.
- Madhusūdanaadvaita-bhakti
Among the four Vedas I am the Sāma-veda — made supremely beautiful by gāna-mādhurya (the sweetness of its melodic form), enchanting to Kṛṣṇa himself. Among all devas I am Vāsava-Indra, their sovereign. Among the eleven indriyas I am manas, their pravartaka (mover and activator). Among all bhūtas and their transformations I am cetanā — the buddhi-vṛtti (cognitive arising) that discloses cit (pure consciousness), the brilliance of the Lord shining through the finite mind.
