"The verse commands abandoning 'all dharmas' — but the Gītā has spent 17 chapters insisting on dharma. Is this a contradiction, a culmination, or a different register of address entirely?",
"Each school reads 'śaraṇam vraja' differently: as jnāna-niṣṭhā (Śaṅkara), as prapatti-upāya (Rāmānuja), as phala-tyāga + Hari-refuge (Madhva), as puṣṭi-entry (Vallabha), as bhakti-trust (Śrīdhara), as bhagavad-ekaśaraṇatā across āśramas (Madhusūdana). What does it mean that a single imperative (vraja) can carry all these meanings without collapsing?",
"Krsna says 'I will liberate you from all sins' (moksayisyāmi). Does this promise apply universally, or only to those with adhikāra — and who decides?",
"The verse appears as the Gītā's own charama-śloka, its final teaching. Why does the text end not with a philosophical thesis but with a command and a promise?",
"Madhusūdana reads the verse as available equally to all āśramas (brahmacarī through bhiksu). Madhva limits grace to the yogya jīva. What is at stake — practically and soteriologically — in that difference?",
"If 'sarva-dharmān parityajya' means 'abandon the sense of doership in dharma' (Rāmānuja, Madhusūdana) rather than 'abandon all practice,' how does one enact that abandonment in a life structured by obligations?",
"The verse promises freedom from 'all sins' (sarva-pāpebhyo). Vallabha includes the seemingly impossible sin of killing kin among these. What is the theological structure of a promise that overrides ordinary karmic logic?"

"advaita": "When paralyzed by the weight of your accumulated roles — parent, professional, citizen — recognize that the burden arises from identifying the Self with the agent. Lay down the roles not by abandoning your work but by ceasing to treat the doer as real. The anxiety dissolves not through more doing but through inquiry: who is it that fears the sin?",
"viśiṣṭādvaita": "In a high-stakes decision where no atonement seems adequate for past failures, stop calculating what penance will balance the ledger. Surrender the calculation itself — the anxiety about merit — to Bhagavān as the one who holds the account. Then act from your capacity, trusting that the shortfall is His to cover.",
"dvaita": "Each morning, complete your assigned work fully and well — do not short-change the task. But at day's end, deposit the outcome entirely with Hari: neither claim credit for success nor carry forward the weight of failure. The deposit is not resignation; it is the recognition that Hari alone is independent.",
"śuddhādvaita": "When you find yourself performing religious or ethical practices as a kind of barter — doing good to earn grace — notice the exhaustion in that arithmetic. Vallabha's reading: drop the commerce. Let Krsna's own delight (ānanda) be the reason you act. The gopikās had no formal practice; their exclusive attention to Krsna was itself the whole path.",
"bhakti": "When anxiety about doing the right thing correctly — following every rule — crowds out the devotion itself, Śrīdhara's reading applies: the trust that bhakti alone will take care of it is the point. Perform your duties, but hold them lightly, the way a child holds a parent's hand — not gripping, just present.",
"advaita-bhakti": "Madhusūdana offers this for the person who cannot renounce and cannot fully surrender: simply turn toward Vāsudeva continuously, like oil flowing without break, even while your duties run. You need not resolve the tension between your obligations and your longing for liberation. The unbroken turning is itself the resolution."
